Eligibility: Must be a local high schooler or middle schooler.
Project and Submission Requirements
Your project must adhere to a few specific requirements.
1. It must be submitted from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Any commits before or after that time range will automatically disqualify the project.
2. The project must not be an obvious copy of an existing solution without any new concept. This will also result in disqualification.
The project need not be a fully functioning product. As long as the idea is fleshed out and an MVP or demonstrable project is created, the project will likely perform well.
Prizes
There are 2 overall pathways.
1. Coding pathway. The coding pathway will have 4 tracks. Each of the winners will be announced, and the top 3 will receive prizes. 3rd place receives $200, 2nd place receives $300, and 1st place receives $400.
2. Pitch pathway. For purely nontechnical competitors, there is a pitch track. The overall winner of the pitch track will receive $100.
Code of Conduct
Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of the following:
- gender
- gender identity and expression
- age
- sexual orientation
- disability
- physical appearance
- body size
- race
- ethnicity
- nationality
- religion
- political views
- previous hackathon attendance or lack of
- computing experience or lack of
- chosen programming language or tech stack
We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, this includes the following.
- hacks
- talks, presentations, or demos
- workshops
- any parties associated to the hackathon
- social media
- any other online media
Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without a refund at the discretion of the hackathon organisers.
